Speaker Rick Cuzner, of Rick Cuzner Outdoor Photography tells the story of his passion for photographing birds and animals on his walks. Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 at 1pm at the Marblehead Council on Aging
Rick Cuzner is a local engineer who has dabbled in photography since childhood. For the past 15 years he has published and sold his pictures through local festivals and online. His morning walks through the local woods have presented many subjects from deer to owls, depending on the season. Along the way, his understanding of photography has deepened and more recently, he has been experimenting with pictures of snowflakes and water droplets. His work is regularly seen in the pages of he Marblehead Current.
"Marbleheaders are well aware of the wild turkeys that stalk our streets, but few of us venture into the Marblehead Neck Wildlife Sanctuary where you can walk the pathways and see a wide variety of warblers."
--Michael Thompson, Chairman Marblehead Speakers Series
The Marblehead Speakers Series, formerly known as the COA Mens Group, produces educational events quarterly at the Council On Aging. It's planning committee is a group of senior men and women volunteers, who are interested in a variety of topics. Recent programs include: Marblehead, A World Renowned Sailing Center, a Tour of English Gardens, and New Life Roles: Coping With Transitions. We are thankful for the continuing sponsorship from All Care.
"I love the adventure and exploration of trying to get a shot. I really enjoy capturing images of the world around us that many people may not see or realize exist in such close proximity. Photography is just a way to share what is all around us and may be over looked."
--Rick Cuzner, July 2023
